Invoices: an overview
Where invoices live, what the Status and Payment columns mean, finding one fast, and what happens once an invoice is paid.

Overview
Invoices live with every other document you send clients, in Finances › Client billing › All documents. Inside a project, the same list sits on the project’s Finances tab, showing only that project.
Watch it: the Finances lesson in Campus, step 1, “Find your way around Finances”, chapter 2, “All documents” (starts at 0:49) and chapter 3, “Status and Payment” (starts at 1:17).
Find your invoices
The Invoices tile adds up what is outstanding, overdue and collected. Click it and the list shows only invoices. Click it again to see everything.

Status and Payment
Status is where the invoice is: a draft, waiting for sign-off, sent, viewed.
Payment is what has happened to the money: unpaid, partially paid, processing, paid. Only a payment moves it, so nobody changes it by hand.
Small notes under the pills fill in the rest, like when your client opened it, or how many days late a payment is, in red.
Your own labels go in tags, with any names and colors your studio likes.
Needs attention
The Needs attention view lists what needs you, and says why: a payment that is overdue or was returned, a late fee charged, an estimate that expired without an answer.

Search and columns
Search reads plain words. Type a client, a project, a status or an amount, and separate each idea with a comma. Dates work too, like due before October 1.
Each term becomes a chip, so you can see how Workroom read it. Remove one with its x.
View options chooses your columns. Up to nine fit the screen; add more and the list scrolls sideways, with the document number pinned on the left.
Paid invoices
Once an invoice is paid in full, it locks. For any change, record a credit or make a new invoice.
