Your dashboard: start here

What your dashboard shows, the Walter brief, and the four widgets everyone starts with.

Written By Julia M.

Your dashboard is the first thing you see when you sign in. It shows what changed since your last visit, what today holds, and what is waiting on you, and you can arrange it however you work.

Watch it: the Dashboard lesson in Campus: twelve chapters, about 6 minutes. Each section below names its chapter.

Your first view

Watch it: chapter 1, “Your first view” (starts at 0:09).

Your dashboard: the greeting, the Walter brief, Projects and Today

Every time you sign in, your dashboard greets you with a fresh line. Under it, everyone starts with the same four widgets: the Walter brief, Projects, Quick actions and Today.

Wherever you see a project's icon or name, on any widget, click it to open that project.

The Walter brief

Watch it: chapter 2, “The Walter brief” (starts at 0:29).

The Walter brief, with a delivery open in the panel on the right

The Walter brief sums up what changed since your last visit, by project. Each line says what happened, who it is waiting on, and what kind of thing it is: a delivery, an estimate, a meeting.

  • Open shows the record right on the dashboard, in a panel, without leaving the page.

  • Generate writes a fresh brief whenever you like.

Projects, Quick actions and Today

Watch it: chapter 3, “Projects, Quick actions and Today” (starts at 0:50).

Projects, Today and Quick actions on the dashboard
  • Projects: every project you are on. The icons in its header switch it between a list, picture tiles, a status table and a timeline.

  • Quick actions: your shortcuts, to a project's section, a module you use all the time, or any web address. Add a shortcut pins a new one.

  • Today: your timer, your meetings with a line for right now, the tasks due today, and what is being delivered.

Tick a task in Today and it is done in Tasks too. An Undo note gives you a moment to take it back.
