Lien waivers

Ask contractors for conditional and unconditional lien waivers, see what is missing, and keep them with each bill.

Overview

Turn on lien waivers, and Workroom asks your contractors for them: conditional before you pay, unconditional after.

Watch it: the Finances lesson in Campus, step 8, “Design-build”, chapter 8, “Lien waivers” (starts at 2:21).

Turn it on

In Settings › Studio › Finances › Design-build, turn on Collect lien waivers from contractors.

On each bill

Each contractor bill shows which waivers are in and which are missing, with Ask for it.

When you pay

Workroom keeps what they send, and reminds you when one is missing. It never stops you paying.
