Contingency
A contingency covers the unexpected. Change orders draw on it, and what is left goes back to your client.

Overview
A contingency covers the unexpected. It sits on the estimate like any other line.
Watch it: the Finances lesson in Campus, step 8, “Design-build”, chapter 6, “Contingency” (starts at 1:45).
Draw on it
Change orders draw on it with Pay from the contingency. The line shows what has been used and what is left.

Give back what’s left
At the end, click Give back what’s left. It goes back to your client as a credit.
