Splitting a receipt across projects

One receipt for two projects? Split it, and each part bills its own client.

Written By Julia M.

Overview

One receipt can cover more than one project, like a hotel stay for two installs. Split it, and each part bills its own client, with its own markup.

Watch it: the Finances lesson in Campus, step 5, “Time and expenses”, chapter 7, “Split across projects” (starts at 2:24).

Steps

  1. In the expense, turn on Split across projects.

  2. Pick a project for each part. Use + Add a project for more, or Split evenly.

  3. Workroom shows what is left to split, and says Adds up when the parts match the receipt.

  4. Click Continue and save it.
