Sub-numbered items in contract numbered lists

Contracts need nested numbering, such as Article 1 with items a, b, c, d, followed by Article 2. Today a new numbered list restarts at 1 and can't be changed.

Requested: inside a numbered list item, an "Add sub-item" option that creates lettered (a, b, c) sub-items, with the parent numbering continuing afterward.
