This is our biggest release yet. Two brand-new modules — Automations and Mood — officially launch today, alongside a new Team directory, a full Contractor management system, smarter project scheduling, and dozens of refinements across payments, contacts, and beyond.
Put your studio on autopilot. Automations lets you build "when this happens, do that" workflows with a visual, drag-and-connect builder — no technical setup required.
Build any workflow visually
A node-based canvas where you connect triggers → conditions → delays → actions into a flow.
Start from a template library with a live preview, or build from scratch.
Duplicate, search, filter by status, and archive automations from one clean list.
Triggers for the moments that matter
Standard events (estimate approved, project created, PO status changes, item received, and more).
Smart procurement triggers that watch for trouble on their own: silent shipments, lead-time drift, product status unchanged for X days, and a claim-window countdown.
Budget-aware triggers: change-order percentage thresholds and spec-to-allowance drift.
An Install Confidence score that predicts delivery risk, with an install-confidence-dropped trigger and a live confidence chip right in the project header.
Actions that actually do the work
Send rich, formatted emails with file attachments — sent through your studio's own email so they land reliably.
Create and assign tasks (with delays, e.g. "wait 2 days, then create a follow-up task and assign it to Andrea").
Full recipient control: canonical recipients, custom addresses, CC/BCC, stakeholders, and record-owner resolution.
Learns as it goes
A vendor reliability learning loop builds a scorecard from real delivery performance and can automatically apply a learned lead-time buffer when you create a PO.
A "Needs Review" inbox collects pre-drafted actions for your approval before anything goes out.
Ready-made template packs for procurement, budget, and multi-step cascades to get you started in minutes.
Automations is a premium add-on. (Available now — talk to us about enabling it.)
A full moodboarding and client-presentation studio, built right into Workroom. Design boards, present them to clients, collect approvals, and turn the approved board straight into an estimate.
A real design canvas
Canva-style editor: tabbed panels, uploads library, undo/redo, duplicate, and an infinite Miro-style freeform canvas with cursor-anchored zoom and trackpad pan.
Images with crop/mask shapes, filters, drop shadows, flip, lock, and true corner-pin perspective warp.
Templates, align/distribute, group/ungroup, marquee multi-select, group resize, and snap guides.
Font library and preset text combinations; a shape library; auto labels under items.
Page-size presets (presentation / paper / social / custom) and reorderable pages.
Products & specs
Pull your project's products onto the board with search and vendor/category/location filters.
Product slots — restrict a frame to a product category and fill it from your library.
Dynamic text blocks tied to a placed product show live product data and stay linked even when you swap the product.
The board is the spec: a Spec panel groups approved items by page with cost vs. sale and margin, and "Create estimate/invoice" seeds a new document — approved items only, one section per page.
Paint & materials
Full paint catalogs from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, Dunn-Edwards, Dulux (AU/NZ), and Valspar — roughly 18,000 colors, searchable, with brand-code labels.
Realistic, recolorable paint textures (drips, smears, brush streaks with gloss and depth) that render in the editor, client view, and exports.
Favorite paint colors that sync across your devices.
A large curated material library (marble, stone, wood, flooring, metal, fabric, leather, concrete, terrazzo).
Tables, brand kit & backgrounds
Finishes schedule tables with spec fields (dimensions, spec #, lead time, status), show/hide columns, and image sizing.
A freeform Table tool with resizable rows/columns, typeable cells, drag-image-into-cell, and drag-a-paint-chip-to-a-schedule.
A Brand Kit: your logo pinned on every page plus a repeating footer, rendered everywhere including exports.
Background textures and color fills.
Present, share & approve
Share a board as a public slideshow presentation with a link.
Clients click to comment in threads and approve / decline items right on the board — approvals reflect back to product status.
Approvals lock once given (final unless you reopen them), with draggable approve-button positions.
A team-side Comments drawer to read client comments by page, reply, and resolve.
Manage all board share links from Link Management (list, void, restore, open).
Organize & protect your work
Color-coded library folders (create, rename, recolor, drag boards in).
Version history with auto change notes and a preview-and-revert modal.
Export to high-resolution PNG and PDF (all pages or current page).
Real-time collaboration (opt-in)
Invite a teammate to edit a board together, with live cursors, presence avatars, and selection indicators.
A dedicated Team directory under People, alongside Contacts, Vendors, and Contractors.
List view with filters, tags, and Views.
A rich, sectioned invite/edit modal — the same one used in Settings — where adding a team member sends a real Workroom invitation.
Employee profiles: tenure, documents, salary, compensation history, and project assignments.
Reports-to shows everyone on your team (including the account owner), and the office/location dropdown reflects your custom offices from Company Info.
New departments (Warehouse, Drafting) and custom office/location management.
End-to-end 1099/contractor compliance, built out across four phases.
A Contractors tab and list with a create/edit modal and full contractor profiles.
Per-company required-document settings — toggle which documents you require (including commercial auto); the compliance engine, upload portal, and profile all respect your settings.
Derived compliance status so you can see at a glance who's current and who's missing paperwork.
A secure "Request Documents" portal: send a contractor a single-use link to upload docs, with a full activity timeline (request sent, link opened, each upload, submitted).
Functional profile notes and a star rating, plus a compliance-document view/print/download modal.
Define your studio's project types once, and let new projects schedule themselves.
Set up Project Types in Settings, each with its own phase list and an estimated duration per phase (e.g. 2d, 2w, 1m).
When you create a project, its phases auto-populate with chained dates from your start date — each phase's end rolls into the next phase's start.
Choose a schedule basis: from the project's start date, as a wait-list (no dates yet), or after another project ends.
Live dependency scheduling: if an upstream project's end date shifts, dependent projects automatically re-chain their phase dates — while preserving any dates you've hand-tuned.
Renaming a phase now asks before applying the change to existing projects, so live schedules are never rewritten unexpectedly.
Draggable divider on the Gantt to resize the task list vs. the timeline.
Utilization by day with a 7/14/30-day range, alongside week and month views.
Export now lets you pick specific projects (all or a chosen subset).
Inline editing of Days/Estimated/Logged right in the table.
Cleaner visuals: standard tasks show a checkmark, consistent avatars (photo / color / initials) across Gantt, Table, and Kanban, phase date ranges, and per-project time-tracking widgets.
Smart search now filters the Gantt, Portfolio, and Utilization views together.
The client share view now shows only client-visible tasks (internal tasks stay private).
Redesigned, sectioned Add/Edit modals for Clients (Basic info / Billing / Shipping / Preferences / Client portal) and Vendors (Company / Pricing / Site details / Payouts / Representatives / POs).
New Open Balance column, hover-reveal row actions, and saved Views across contact lists.
Vendors gain Trade Discount / Markup / Open POs columns and show the primary rep's email under their name.
Contacts now count and show the projects each stakeholder is attached to.
Rebuilt, consistent profile headers with call / email / chat buttons and an icon back button.
Retainers are now first-class: send to client, download PDF, sign as designer, a dedicated retainer email template, and correct "Retainer" labeling throughout (no longer mislabeled as "Invoice").
Estimates, invoices, and retainers get a "show internal memo to client" toggle for the public page.
Fixed product-export images and product-financials fee handling.
The Subscription link in Settings now points to the Stripe billing portal.
Forms can now send a test notification email, and image-choice/separator fields are more robust.
A new global confirmation dialog unifies every delete/archive across the app — clearer, safer, with a type-to-confirm gate on destructive actions and consistent red (delete) / orange (archive) styling.
Persistent, copyable error dialogs with "Copy for support," so you can report issues with the real details.
Faster load times: a smaller main bundle, lazy-loaded chat, and no cold-start delay.
Live Support button now reflects support hours (weekdays only).
Single-use magic links and smoother signup
