CRITICAL: For those who connect to Quickbooks, this change will require you to go into Quickbooks settings and re-select what syncs to Quickbooks, as it made a fundamental change to the code that essentially unsaved the previous choices.

Quotes & RFQs [Beta]

A full request-for-quote workflow, from asking vendors to turning their answers into purchase orders.

Sending an RFQ

  • Redesigned two-column RFQ builder: what you're asking for on the left, who's receiving it on the right.

  • Vendor emails fill in automatically from your vendor directory, and each vendor's reps can be added as extra recipients.

  • Ask for freight cost, import fee, and delivery type (standard drop-off, commercial dock, or white-glove).

  • Ask vendors to confirm catalog fields — dimensions, finish, material, colour, product number, SKU — and accepted answers apply straight back to the product.

  • Walter can draft the intro message for you.

Tracking responses

  • Seen column shows when a vendor opened the email, with date and time, plus an indicator on the quote itself.

  • Sent column shows when it went out and who sent it.

  • Vendors are automatically nudged as the deadline approaches — at most three times, and only when it's close.

  • You get a notification the moment a vendor submits.

The vendor's side

  • Vendors get a clean public page with no app shell — just your firm's logo, name, and contact details, their account number, and the products.

  • Read-only product details (manufacturer, model, dimensions, colour, finish, material) so they know exactly what they're quoting.

  • Vendors can upload their own quote PDF instead of filling the form.

Turning quotes into orders

  • Comparison matrix: quoted vs accepted totals, per-vendor subtotals, and a sortable grid comparing price, extended price, variance against your library, availability and lead time — accept or reject line by line.

  • Fill from PDF: a vendor's PDF opens side-by-side with the fields, and Walter reads it to pre-fill each line, including freight, import and delivery, plus anything else worth noting.

  • Log a reply: paste a vendor's emailed response and Walter turns it into their quote for you to review.

  • Create POs from accepted lines — one per vendor, priced at what you accepted.

  • New Quotes permission set (view, create, manage, create POs, close). Hidden by default for everyone but the account owner.

Bulk Create Purchase Orders [New]

Select any number of products in the Library and create purchase orders in one action.

  • Orders split by vendor and project, because a PO belongs to one supplier and one project.

  • Products with no vendor are listed by name so you can assign one, or create a new vendor and apply it to all of them at once.

  • Costs, quantities, vendor discounts, freight and tax carry through from the product exactly as the Library shows them.

Settings — rebuilt

Settings has been rebuilt from the ground up. Everything is edited in one place; nothing links out to an old screen.

  • Opens on a Setup checklist showing what's configured and what's left.

  • New menu split into You and Studio, with a green dot on each section that's set up.

  • Search that actually searches. Type "markup", "bcc", "vat" or "seats" and you'll find the setting — not just sections whose names happen to match. Results tell you which page and tab they're on and take you straight there.

  • One Save changes bar per page that stays in view.

Pages: Company · Team and rates · Projects and phases · Catalog and lists · Money · Approvals · Client experience · Outbound email · Assistant · Integrations

Highlights:

  • Money is split into Rates and accounts, Numbering and wording, Document look, and Reusable pieces — plus a Taxes tab that appears when your currency is Canadian, Euro or Sterling, with named tax codes and registration numbers.

  • Projects and phases: add a project type inline and its phases follow.

  • Catalog and lists: statuses can be reordered and carry tags, and the order is used everywhere in the app.

  • Room placeholders now carry category, unit cost, markup and margin, so a placeholder seeds a real budget line.

  • Outbound email gained an editor for the templates themselves.

  • Integrations now covers QuickBooks, Stripe, WorkPay, Harvest, Asana and the Claude Connector.

Purchase Orders

  • Line descriptions now use the product's vendor description, not the client-facing one.

  • The project filter on the purchase order list works — picking a project shows that project's orders.

  • When converting an estimate or invoice to POs, anything skipped now opens a dialog naming which products and why, with what to do about it. It stays open until you dismiss it.

Library

  • "+ Sub Items" rollup shows the parent plus all attached sub-items' client total, in both views, without expanding the row.

  • Export Spec Sheet added to the bulk actions.

  • The bulk action bar no longer slides off the bottom of the page inside a project.

  • Fixed secondary images showing blank, including for products imported from a URL.

  • "Waiting on" is now a searchable dropdown with thumbnails, and adding or removing a dependency updates the Gantt links without a reload.

  • Projects with no products get an Add product button.

  • The Library tab is now reachable from the project top nav.

Estimates & Invoices

  • Sub-items now attach to their parent product. They were silently not being carried over.

  • Both Canadian tax brackets appear in the total box and on the client link.

  • Public client views show money in the document's currency.

  • CAD now shows as C$ everywhere, instead of "CA$" or "CA".

  • The "Add as a sub-item" button no longer looks like a delete.

Client Portal, Forms & Comms

  • Fixed the login link in the client portal access email.

  • Multi-page public forms render all their pages, and forms can carry a header image.

  • Client project views show your real design team, and you can set the header image.

  • Fixed broken product images on product-selection boards.

Notes

  • Attachments upload in the background with a progress bar and retry — the upload keeps going even if you leave the notes view.

  • An oversized attachment that can't be stored is now refused up front, instead of being saved as a file that won't open later.
