A central home for every product you spec — build a reusable catalog, price it with your real cost model, and drop items straight into estimates, invoices, and POs.
IMPORTANT: You will still see “products” on your main menu and will continue to have access to the old module until the new library module is out of beta status. Thank you in advance for your participation in the beta part of library!
Views & navigation
Three ways to work the same data: Traditional (clean list), Spreadsheet (dense power-grid), and Tiles (visual cards) — pick one and set it as your default.
Scopes: Library (products not yet attached to a project), All Products, or any specific project.
Grouping by vendor, status, category, location, or your own custom groups, each with roll-up totals.
Row density (comfortable / compact / condensed) and show/hide, reorderable columns, with your layout remembered per user.
Fast search across name, SKU, vendor, and category.
Editing & organizing
Everything is inline-editable right in the grid.
Drag to reorder products, and drag one product onto another to nest it as a sub-item (variants, components, or options under a parent).
Custom data points: define your own fields, grouped into sections, in the Customize panel — text, number, date, dropdown, checkbox, and more — and choose which appear as columns.
Assign products to a project or location, or move them between groups by dragging.
Product detail drawer
Details with all fields and sections, image gallery (primary + additional images, auto-optimized).
Chat, Notes, and a Changelog with a comment thread on every change.
Financials breakdown showing exactly how cost, revenue, client price, profit, and margin are built.
Attachments for spec sheets and documents.
Full pricing & cost model
Cost, markup or margin (your choice, kept in sync), vendor discount, and list-price basis.
Freight (with optional freight markup), landed cost, receiver/warehousing cost, taxes (including tax-on-freight and tax-on-landed), and fees (shop drawing, sample, misc) — with a pass-fees-to-client toggle.
Per-item budget target that ties straight into project Budgets.
Status and colored status tags, plus an optional daily price-watch indicator for tracked items.
Working with other documents
Add products to estimates, invoices, and purchase orders — the complete cost model carries over, so totals match the Library.
Feeds project Budgets and room budgets.
Sharing & export [Still in development]
Share a public link so clients or contractors can view selected products and approve or comment (with a confirm step before nesting).
Import PDF and Link so designers can import products from a URL, or a PDF specsheet.
Totals now reconcile with the Library. Estimate, invoice, and PO line items carry the full cost model — vendor discount, freight (and freight markup), landed cost, receiver cost, fees, and the right tax treatment — so a document's total matches what you see in the Library instead of silently dropping to a lower number.
Adding a product from the Library no longer loses its vendor discount, freight, or tax settings.
Purchase orders now apply the vendor discount end-to-end, so a PO reflects the discounted cost you actually pay.
Fixed a pricing issue where imported/clipped products set to "margin" could be priced below cost (charging the client at a loss).
New documents now open with one section already in place so you can start entering line items immediately.
Fixed page scrolling so you can't scroll past the pinned totals footer on estimates, invoices, and POs.
Hardened the pricing math against edge cases (very high margins, zero quantity, zero list price) that could produce broken totals.
Attach PDFs and documents to a PO — a new uploader in the PO editor plus the Documents tab, with an inline PDF viewer for preview (no more broken downloads).
Line-item data points: show up to 3 Library data points as columns before Qty on each line. Pick them from a menu in the Line Items header; values auto-fill from the product (and pull the latest Library data on save), stay editable, and your column choice is remembered for next time.
Budget figures now reconcile with the Library and estimates (client totals are derived live from the full finance model rather than a stale stored price).
Category tabs cleaned up: they now align to your Settings categories, only show categories that actually have data, correctly roll subcategories up to their parent (tolerant of small spelling/plural differences), and collect anything uncategorized into a single bucket.
Fixed products disappearing from Budget: items whose location didn't match a budget room were being dropped entirely — they now always appear (grouped under their location or "Unassigned").
Managed tags with colors across contacts, vendors, and contractors — pick from your Manage Tags list with a color picker, and see a Tags column on each table.
Tag pills now show the exact assigned color everywhere they appear.
Fixed the new-tag color swatches (they were all showing the same color).
Activity log on contact and vendor profiles — see client-portal actions (approvals, payments, estimate/invoice views) and when a vendor has seen a PO or opened an email.
Client portal access now requires a portal code and emails the client their login link and code.
Fill in signature and fields directly on the document (click and type on the contract itself) instead of a separate side panel.
Fixed a customer name-collision issue so clients link to the correct QuickBooks customer.
Timelog blocks now adapt their detail to the block's height, so short entries stay readable instead of cramming everything together.
Permission set editor: removed the awkward full-page scroll — now only the module list and the permissions list scroll, with the module header pinned.
Sidebar: Finance and Reports moved above Content; the Product Library is now available in the menu (marked Beta).
Added a confirmation step before deleting a Library section or data point, gated behind a permission.
Fixed a reliability issue that could cause an automation to advance twice or loop unexpectedly.
New in-app "Learn More" video button in the Product Library header.
Product changelog comments now save correctly.
Clicking the Workroom logo now simply goes home (removed the extra popup).
Product images are optimized automatically, and background security hardening across several areas.
